BRS supports and guides AMC by providing coaching and advice on savings products, risk management, internal audit and internal control.

In 2017, a delegation from Cera and KBC joined BRS on an immersion trip to Honduras and El Salvador.

Sandra from El Salvador is an enterprising woman with a flair for commerce who certainly knows how to sell her goods.

Juan Luis Moreno, Director-General of AMC, explains what BRS’ coaching and advice means for his microfinancing institution. He also talks about how AMC works and the challenges it has to cope with in a region that is far from easy.

Muy práctica y orientadora. In other words: very practical and inspiring. 
This was the feedback from one of the participants in the Spanish-language training course that BRS organised for the managers of AMC from El Salvador and Pilarh from Honduras, two microfinancing organisations.

KBC employees Chris Berckmoes and Carla Everaerts enjoyed sharing their marketing and risk management experience with their colleagues in El Salvador. They explain why, entirely consistently with the BRS philosophy, they always seek out dialogue to avoid coming across as patronising. 

In October 2019, Reiner Van den Steen and Patricia Hollinger travelled to El Salvador. A “newbie” and an experienced BRS volunteer, on the road together for BRS.  They explain why they were so inspired by the employees and customers of the microfinancing institution AMC.
